Too few days til the end of another year

Sunday, evening, again. Life is repetitive ;)

The weekend has been nice and relaxing. Not for poor Jan-Erik, though, as he had an exam yesterday morning and today he has been studying for the next one... Robert had some kind of an accident yesterday and one of his eyes seemed to be hurt. It kept running really heavily and the pupil of the hurt eye did not go big, like the pupil of the other eye did. (The pupils get bigger when it's dark and they turn very small if there is a lot of light around.) It looked quite freaky, those asymmetric-sized black pupils. I was already almost in panic mode, but it looks like the pupil's recovering on its own and Robert seems to be in better mood than yesterday.

We put up some pictures on the walls yesterday, a bunch in the kitchen and a few in the hallway and living room. Above the scratchy tree now hangs a black-and-white photo of two men having beer from REAL big glasses... I can't even guess what could the size of those be. Anyway, some light alcohol for Mammu and Robert to catch :p

Today was the usual cleaning plus cats got their nails clipped. They don't like the procedure at all, anymore. It can't be painful, but I imagine they feel awfully uncomfortable when someone else fiddles with their nails... But has to be done.
The project "(Re)watching production of Ghibli Studio" is on, we have seen four films recently and a bunch more to go (most of which I have seen, but it's okay because their re-viewing value is super high). Yesterday evening we watched "Tenkû no shiro Rapyuta/Castle in the Sky", it is an older cartoon (1986), which also shows a bit in the drawing style, but is all good, I like the older stuff better anyway. Feels more like... purer, more honest. (Not that there was something wrong with 2001's "Spirited Away" or last year's "Arrietty" - they look pretty, colourful, detailed, gorgeous; but at times it can feel like too shiny, too polished, overall too perfect.)

Next weekend will be a busy one, as we will be in Tallinn on Saturday (from early morning to evening) and probably very tired on Sunday, but there is some furniture shopping to be done (couch, curtains, carpet).

Happy third advent!
